Gothic Seattle Wedding at Cathedral Ballard

There could not have been a better first wedding since moving back to Seattle than Kate and Derek! I went to high school with Kate, and I was so thrilled when she reached out for me to shoot her wedding after I announced my move back to the PNW. Cathedral Seattle is such a rad venue - I love an urban industrial city wedding and Ballard is my favorite Seattle neighborhood to shoot in. It was a little dreary (classic) but added to the edgy vibe of the day. We started the day at Hotel Ballard where they were staying and getting ready, then grabbed some umbrellas and walked thru the streets to their venue a few blocks away from couples portraits along the way. Shooting this bride and her black dress was a career highlight for me! I had SO much fun with this one and I am very very happy to be shooting in Seattle again. :) :)
