Manor House at Pleasant Beach Wedding

A Manor House at Pleasant Beach wedding is a great fit for couples who want a beautiful setting without the day feeling overly formal or fussy. Located on Bainbridge Island, this venue offers a mix of coastal views, well-kept gardens, and an estate-style layout that allows the day to flow easily from start to finish. It also has that rare destination-wedding feel—without the travel stress. The panoramic water and island views are a huge hit with out-of-town guests, it truly shows off the best of the Pacific Northwest. With lodging, dining, and beaches all nearby, it’s easy to turn the celebration into a full weekend experience.

Alyssa and Tim met in college and quickly bonded over their shared love of the outdoors. When they’re not working, you’ll usually find them hiking, traveling, or out exploring with their dog. That easygoing, adventurous energy carried straight into their wedding day. In their inquiry, they shared that they were drawn to photography that feels light, fun, and candid—images that capture real emotion without feeling staged. Their goal was simple: a relaxed celebration where everyone could be present, enjoy themselves, and let the moments unfold naturally. This Manor House at Pleasant Beach wedding did exactly that.

As a photographer, I love shooting weddings at Manor House at Pleasant Beach. There is so much variety throughout this property, and endless ways to utilize the space. I love using the Camp Kelly area as a shady escape for mid-day portraits, and it feels like you’re in the woods. This couple even used the Camp Kelly area for their ceremony, which I had never seen before and loved it. The reception tent is always the star of the show (in my opinion), it photographs like a secret garden with those stunning Puget Sound views.

Bainbridge Island offers plenty for guests to enjoy beyond the wedding day, making it easy to turn the trip into a full weekend getaway. One of the biggest draws is simply being outside—walk the shoreline at Pleasant Beach, explore nearby trails like Gazzam Lake Nature Preserve, or rent bikes and cruise around the island. Winslow, the main downtown area, is full of great coffee shops, boutiques, bookstores, and waterfront restaurants, and it’s an easy stop for guests arriving by ferry. Wine lovers will enjoy local tasting rooms, and those looking to slow things down can spend an afternoon browsing art galleries or grabbing a long lunch with a view.

For guests traveling from Seattle, the ferry is part of the experience—but it does require a little planning. If you’re bringing a car, reserving a spot in advance is highly recommended, especially during summer weekends. Walk-on passengers don’t need reservations and often find the process much easier. Plan to arrive early, build in buffer time, and remind guests that ferry schedules can shift. Once on the island, everything is close, which makes Bainbridge an especially convenient—and memorable—place to celebrate.
