A Gorgeous, Classic Garden-Party Wedding

You wanna talk about a stunning wedding that’s all things elegant garden party? Let’s talk about Kirsten and Bennett’s gorgeous Inn at Rancho Santa Fe wedding. Not only were these two adorable together, but the entire wedding was downright breathtaking.

I’ve known Kirsten since 2016 when we met at a wedding show in San Diego. She’s a wedding dress designer, and her work is truly lovely. When she asked me to photograph their Inn at Rancho Santa Fe wedding, I was SO EXCITED and honored to be a part of their special day.

Kirsten and Bennett wanted their wedding to have a black-and-white theme with plenty of greenery. Something that was timeless but had a modern flare. And they totally nailed it.

It’s All About the (Furry) Family

Kirsten and Bennett met in college and have been together ever since. They are so sweet together and have been through so much, so it was an EMOTIONAL wedding. Plus, they wanted to include their fur baby in their wedding - an adorable lab named Lincoln!

Lincoln was standing at the end of the aisle, greeting guests as they took their seats. They even had a little sign at the reception that said, “Drinks are on Lincoln.” It was so cute!

Kirsten and Bennett wanted their Inn at Rancho Santa Fe wedding to be an immersive experience. They opted for this venue because everyone could focus on the weekend, and all the out-of-town guests had a place to stay.

It was a dreamy wedding that felt romantic from start to finish.

A Lovely Inn at Rancho Santa Fe Wedding

Kirsten looked breathtaking in her gown (which she designed herself!), and Bennet was so dapper in his black and white tuxedo. We got several incredible shots around the grounds before the ceremony.

I loved shooting at this location. There was so much greenery, and seeing these two say their vows in front of the huge tree was really symbolic.

The wedding ceremony itself was EMOTIONAL. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house. Since these two have been together for so long, their vows were quite moving.

Before long, it was time for this Inn at Rancho Santa Fe wedding reception. The toasts were wonderful, and everyone had such amazing things to say about them.

The reception dinner was held in a greenhouse that had some cool overhead string lights. It made for some really dramatic reception photos, perfect for drinks, dinner and dancing.

To Sum Up

All in all, it was a fantastic, joyful day for everyone. To have Kirsten reach out to me was really humbling, especially since she knows so many wedding photographers. But since these two knew exactly what they wanted, it was easy for me to capture the essence of the day.

Much like fine wine, I have a feeling these two will only get better with age. Their relationship is something to aspire to, and I loved being there for such a special moment in their lives.

I’d love another opportunity to shoot an Inn at Rancho Santa Fe wedding, so reach out if you’re thinking about it!
