I was so excited to be brought on to Ashleigh and Michael’s Palm Desert wedding! I couldn’t wait to see how unique this celebration was going to turn out - especially when the bride told me she was surprising Michael and going to be wearing a yellow dress! The bride Ashleigh is a San Diego wedding florist (Terracotta Studio) and it is always such an honor to be asked to shoot a wedding for a fellow vendor - it’s a huge compliment and a responsibility I take so seriously. The first time I talked to her on the phone and she told me her vision of a festival-inspired reception that felt more like a party with surprise entertainment, as well as the ombre-floral vision and non-traditional format - I was hooked and couldn’t wait to see it come to life and document it all. As a wedding professional it’s pretty rare to see anything unique or new, but this one definitely had a lot of firsts and it was a blast to be a part of.
